19 May 2008 -- AdvaTel, A leading software designer and developer for
the global Telecommunications Industry, today announced that its PhoneEasy IP
Console and PhoneEasy Desktop II telephony management software have
successfully completed compatibility testing through the Nortel Developer
Program and now carry the designation Nortel Compatible Product.
PhoneEasy
IP Console (Version 1.3.3) and PhoneEasy Desktop II (Version 2.0.1) were tested
in a Nortel lab facility and are verified as compatible with Nortel’s Business
Communications Manager 50 (BCM 50) Release 3.0. By focusing on products that
bear the Nortel Compatible Product brandmark, such as PhoneEasy IP Console and
PhoneEasy Desktop II, customers may realize a reduction in total cost of
ownership, as these products have been verified to use established, supported
Nortel interfaces and integration specifications.
AdvaTel’s PhoneEasy products enable BCM 50 users
to manage incoming and outgoing calls with just the click of a mouse, providing
detail about the caller or the person being called. PhoneEasy products also display
Busy Lamp status for extensions in both the local office and branch offices.
With calendar mining from the Exchange Server and the ability to dial all contacts,
PhoneEasy products improve the efficiency of BCM 50 users by eliminating time spent
calling people who are in meetings or out of the office. The products can also
set up conferences, provide call back reminders and log call details. Other key
features provided by PhoneEasy IP Console and Desktop II products include Dial
from Web Pages or Office documents and the Click to Text Cell Phones feature
which provides BCM 50 users the ability to receive the text messages on either
a cell phone or via email.
BCM 50 is an all-in-one, affordable platform
for converged voice and data communications; ideal for small to medium
businesses with 3 to 50 users. BCM 50 provides advanced capabilities such
as robust telephony features, voice messaging and unified messaging, IP
networking, Internet access, contact centers, mobility solutions and IP
telephony. With an easy-to-use and highly flexible architecture, the BCM
50 enables small sites to benefit from convergence capabilities that were
previously only available to much larger organizations.
The Nortel Developer Program is a
co-marketing and compatibility testing program which acts as a liaison with
leading independent software and hardware vendors to encourage and empower the
